Grupo Capoeira Brasil is an organization of people who train, teach and promote the Afro-Brazilian martial art of Capoeira. Grupo Capoeira Brasil represents the style known as Capoeira Contemporânea . It is a contemporary variety of Capoeira, drawing both from the traditional Capoeira Angola style and from the Luta Regional Baiana created by the legendary Mestre Bimba ( more about Capoeira history ). Developed from the mid-1960s to the present day, diverse and dynamic contemporary Capoeira is a living and evolving art, and we are proud to be part of this evolution.
